Example of resistivity imaging survey conducted by SSI, in New Zealand. Two relatively resistive basalt layers (indicated by the arrows) are mapped to a depth of about 25m in a relatively conductive sedimentary sequence. The results have been verified by borehole drilling. This situation is qualitatively similar to the geo-electrical structure for a coal seam target.
