Subsurface Imaging is a company at the leading edge of technology with more than
100 total staff years of experience. We offer a complete range of geophysical services to consultants, general contractors, governments and their agencies, and to the mining industry in
South East Asia and Australasia.
- Groundsearch was formed in 1983
- Subsurface Imaging Australia was purchased in 1997 and its
precedent (Mets) was setup in 1991
- SSI NZ was formed in 2002

| SSI NZ was formed in 1983 as specialists in the fields of geophysics, waste engineering and hydrogeology. |
| SSI Australia began performing Radio Imaging surveys in Australia in 1991. It operated as METS Radio Imaging Technology Ltd as part of Australian Longwall and Joy Group. In 1997 SSI NZ acquired METS Ltd, incorporated its own geophysical capabilities and changed the name to SSI Australia. |
