Experience in:

  • Coal Exploration
  • Mineral Exploration
  • Geotechnical
  • Groundwater

The benefits of down-hole logging are:
  • High quality, accurate data showing physical properties of rock
  • Fast data acquisition
  • Save money by reducing the amount of coring
  • Logging can show geological structure and rock defects

We offer a full range of CGC probes (Century Geophysical Corp) to suit all applications. All probes are calibrated to industry standards and digitize the sensor measurements downhole. This minimizes interference from varying wireline cable lengths.

SSI supports the latest technologies. This includes improvements in telemetry that gives double prior  logging speeds. This  enables televiewer and dipmeter data acquisition at up to 4m per minute compared with other offerings at 1 to 2 m /min. This gives faster trip times down hole and less rig standby time.

An example of some of the more frequently used tools are:
  • CCS - coal combination sonde - Natural Gamma / Density / Resistivity (9035) for general geological/mining
  • 4-pad Dipmeter / Natural Gamma (9410) for geological structure and hole deviation
  • Full waveform sonic (9310) for civil engineering or seismic survey velocity control
  • Acoustic Televiewer (9800) for defect analysis and geological structure (civil engineering / mining)

In addition, Subsurface Imaging can offer other specialised radioactive, electrical and sonic tools to suit specific investigation or exploration requirements.

Using 4WD Truck mounted or helicopter portable systems we can reach even the most challenging locations!
Call and discuss your particular requirements. We are capable of customizing data collection and digital data output formats to suit your specific needs.

We use a variety of geophysical methods, Radar, EM, Electrical Resistivity Imaging, Cross-hole surveys
